BREEAM ratings explained Excellent and Outstanding
Building Revolution uses BREEAM in many projects.
BREEAM has different levels of certificates. BREEAM stands for Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method. The method originated in England and was developed by the Building Research Establishment (BRE). In the Netherlands BREEAM is managed by the Dutch Green Building Council (DGBC) and there are special adapted guidelines for the Netherlands, BREEAM in the Netherlands is therefore formally called BREEAM-NL.
BREEAM has 4 types of guidelines.
- For new construction projects, there is BREEAM-NL New Construction.
- Existing buildings are assessed with In-Use.
- Demolition Projects with Demolition and Dismantling.
- Complete areas with BREEAM-NL Area.
Building Revolution specializes primarily in New Construction, Area and In-Use.
Below is the certification level score for each guideline.
